Over the years, I have worked for many physicians as a medical assistant
before ending up here. In January of 1999 I began an interesting endeavor. I
started a one year (500 hour) program at Irene’s Myomassology Institute.
I know "myomassology" is a mouthful, but it breaks down
into myo (muscle), mass (massage), ology (study of). In
other words, it is a fancy name for massage therapy.
The course included hands-on training in many of the disciplines of massage
along with detailed anatomy. I also took elective classes in aromatherapy,
reflexology, and energy balancing.
After so many years of being exposed only to conventional medicine it was
fascinating learning from different and more holistic approach. The wonderful
aspect about joining the team at ABODE Integrated Medicine is that here they
are trying to combine conventional and complementary approaches to health
care.
I really enjoy massage, talking to and getting to know people. I hope that
I can be of service to you and help you. It is truly satisfying to see the
results on a person’s face after they receive a massage.
